Wong’s new horizons

Wong Ho Sang’s textured mixed-media and photography series on portraits depict traditional occupations against interiors. By liberating photography from its traditional forms, the author raises questions on the harmony and coordination between history and modern civilization.

Wong Ho Sang a photo-artist born in Macau, employs a diversity of approaches to photography. After receiving his formal training and education in Photography in California, he has held numerous exhibitions here in Macau, America and Europe. He uses conventional, digital and alternative techniques in his photographic works. For contemporary art projects, he creates sculptural pieces and installations.

With a solid foundation in pictorial composition, use of colors and rendering of tonal range in black and white photography, digital imaging allows Wong Ho Sang to further expand, develop and express his creative ideas and vision. He is currently working on professional assignments and personal, fine art projects. His teaching experience includes: Macau’s Institute of European Studies, University of Hong Kong, Macau’s Academy of Arts, Macau Art Center College of Design, United States.
