David Hartung has been living and working in Asia for more than fifteen years, photographing for numerous international publications, press agencies and corporate clients.
He was first introduced to the Far East in 1985 when he set out from his home in California with nothing but a pack on his back and a camera on his shoulder. David lived in Seoul for four years documenting the many political and social changes that were occurring at that time. In 1995 he settled in Taipei which gave him the chance to photograph many influential people,
challenge his photo reportage skills; a task that continues to this day and one he believes may never be completed.
"Macau, Work in Progress" is David's first book and captures the energy, history, growth and unique character of a city like no other in the entire world, in stunning photographic imagery.
"Macau, Work in Progress" will be officially launched on December 6 at the Military Club from 6:30 - 9 pm. Public is welcome.
